Virat Kohli's dominance continues in the World Cup 2023. He scored his second century in this World Cup and the fourth century of his overall World Cup career against South Africa on Sunday. However, there is a huge difference in the innings taken by Virat and Sachin for 49 centuries. While Sachin had played 451 innings to score 49 centuries, Virat had done so in 277 innings. He played 174 innings less than Sachin.

If we compare the centuries of both, Sachin scored the first century of his ODI career in the 76th innings. He played 100 innings for five centuries, 131 innings for 10 centuries, and 182 innings for 15 centuries. Sachin had scored 20 centuries in his 197th innings. His 25th century came in 234 innings. 30 centuries came in 267 innings, whereas till 307 innings, Sachin had 35 centuries.

 

He completed 40 centuries in his 355th innings. At the same time, the 45th century came in the 424th innings. Sachin scored his 49th century in his 451st innings. Sachin played 254 innings from the 21st to the 49th century. He scored 18,426 runs in 452 innings of 463 ODI matches at an average of 44.83. Apart from 49 centuries, he scored 96 half-centuries. His best score was 200 not out.

 

Virat's ODI century

At the same time, Virat had scored 15 centuries in just 106 innings. Virat's first century came in the 13th. Then the fifth century came in the 43rd innings, the 10th century in the 80th innings.
