Train Tickets: Railways has started this new facility, which will get rid of long queues for ticketing

If you too are planning to travel by train during this summer vacation and are worried about the long queues at the ticket counters of railway stations, then this news is for you. Keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, Indian Railways has started a new facility for ticketing, freeing them from waiting and long queues. Under this, railway passengers will now be able to make digital payments for the renewal of journey tickets, platform tickets, and monthly passes at automatic ticket vending machines by scanning QR codes from UPI-based mobile apps like Paytm, PhonePe, Freecharge.

 

In the new facility, passengers will also be able to pay through digital transactions for the facilities provided by the Automatic Ticket Vending Machine. Passengers can also recharge ATVM smart cards through this. On the occasion of starting this facility on behalf of the Railways, appealed to the passengers to pay maximum in digital mode and get rid of long queues. At such stations, the Railway Board often received complaints from passengers about waiting in line for hours to get tickets. Many times passengers miss the train due to long queues at the stations.

 

In the first phase, it has been started at a few stations. Gradually, passengers will be able to take advantage of this facility at all stations across the country. According to Captain Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer, North Western Railway, UPI QR codes have been arranged for all services in ATVMs installed at railway stations. By scanning the QR code, passengers can get the ticket by making a digital payment by phone.

 

Apart from this, passengers can also use it to recharge AVTM Smart Card. After scanning it and making the payment, the passengers will get the ticket to their destination instantly.
