Twitter in action due to constant criticism of CEO, suspends accounts of several journalists covering Elon Musk

Twitter today suspended the accounts of journalists who cover and frequently write about Elon Musk. These include journalists from several media houses including The Washington Post, New York Times, Mashable, CNN and Substack. The accounts of these journalists were put on the block list late on Thursday night.

 

Twitter has suspended the accounts of several journalists who were covering new Twit chief Elon Musk following its acquisition of the microblogging outlet and upstart rival service Mastodon in October. The Twitter accounts of journalists of publications including Washington Post, New York Times and many were blocked and put on inactive lists late on Thursday night. His tweets are also no longer visible.

Twitter's notice states that it 'suspends accounts that violate the Twitter Rules'. According to media reports, Twitter has also suspended the feed of social media site Mastodon, which had earlier posted a link to an account on its site on its Twitter page. Twitter has considered this as misuse of publicly available data.

 

Those who wrote against Musk fell down

Social media company Twitter has also suspended several accounts following Private Space, including Musk. Twitter suspended accounts of several journalists. However, till the time of writing the news, it is not fully known why these accounts have been suspended.

 

Responding to a tweet on the account suspension, Musk said the doxing rules apply to journalists as well. Let us tell you that Twitter has recently imposed many restrictions on sharing any information or post, which is called doxing. This mostly includes things that are related to someone's personal information.

 

Musk's tweet created a stir

Twitter's new CEO Elon Musk has said in another tweet that it is perfectly fine to criticize me throughout the day, but it is not okay to follow my real time and put my family in danger. The New York Times told the news agency Reuters that the Twitter accounts of many well-known people have been suspended. This includes several journalists including Ryan Mack of The New York Times. Twitter hasn't told anyone about this. We hope that soon the accounts of all the journalists will be restored.
