The World Bank has said in its internal memo issued that it has canceled its staff mission in Ukraine and is closely monitoring the border where Russian forces have been deployed. The memo also said, "The safety of its staff and their families is a top priority for the World Bank Group." But it has not been told where and how many employees have been transferred. The IMF has also temporarily transferred its representative in Ukraine, Vahram Stapanyan.

The US also moved its Ukrainian embassy from the capital Kyiv to the western city of Liv. The IMF has given a loan of $ 5 billion to Ukraine, while the World Bank has also given financial assistance of $ 1.3 billion.

G7 countries in opposition to Russia, ready to impose sanctions

Tensions continue to rise between Russia and Ukraine. Meanwhile, G7 finance ministers said on Monday that they were ready to collectively impose severe sanctions on Russia in the event of a military offensive by Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine. Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom (UK), and the United States are ready to collectively impose economic and financial sanctions that will have broad and immediate consequences for the Russian economy.

On Monday, 70 German soldiers arrived in Lithuania, a member country of NATO, located near Russia. In a few days, 290 more soldiers and 100 guns of Germany will reach there. The US has sent eight new F-15 fighter jets to Poland on Monday. During this, Russian forces are also continuously conducting maneuvers near the borders of Ukraine.
