However, both institutions have said that their support for Ukraine will continue. Zelensky also said in his post that he wants to resolve all disputes through dialogue.
The World Bank has said in its internal memo issued that it has canceled its staff mission in Ukraine and is closely monitoring the border where Russian forces have been deployed. The memo also said, "The safety of its staff and their families is a top priority for the World Bank Group." But it has not been told where and how many employees have been transferred. The IMF has also temporarily transferred its representative in Ukraine, Vahram Stapanyan.
The US also moved its Ukrainian embassy from the capital Kyiv to the western city of Liv. The IMF has given a loan of $ 5 billion to Ukraine, while the World Bank has also given financial assistance of $ 1.3 billion.
