America has once again extended a hand to help Ukraine. $ 400 million in military aid has been announced by the Biden administration for the war. The new military aid package includes ammunition along with temporary bridges needed to transport tanks and armored vehicles.
Earlier, on February 20, just before the completion of one year of the war between Russia and Ukraine, US President Joe Biden surprised everyone by reaching Kyiv. He reached Ukraine and met President Volodymyr Zelensky. Russia attacked Ukraine on 24 February 2022. It was the first time since then that the US President had reached Ukraine. Meanwhile, President Zelensky of Ukraine had said that this meeting discussion would bring us closer to victory.
Before Biden's visit, the US was currently providing military assistance to Ukraine from afar. Joe Biden has announced on several occasions that he will stand by Ukraine at all costs. After this, after reaching Ukraine, Biden announced to provide more help to the war-torn country. The US President had said that he would provide more and more new weapons to Ukraine. He announced to give off air surveillance radar to protect Ukraine.
Blinken also surrounded Russia
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that allowing Russia to brazenly attack Ukraine would give similar leeway to potential aggressors. Blinken said this during a discussion in the session of 'Raisina Dialogue' in the presence of foreign ministers of India, Japan, and Australia. "If we allow what Russia is doing in Ukraine to go unabated, it will send a message to potential aggressors that they can do the same," he said.
The comment came after meeting Lavrov
Blinken's remarks came a day after he had a brief meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Delhi. This was the first face-to-face meeting of the two foreign ministers since the Russia-Ukraine war began in February last year.
