UNSC Meeting on Afghanistan: In the wake of the Taliban occupation of Afghanistan, the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) will hold an emergency meeting on the situation in Afghanistan under the chairmanship of India on Monday. The long-running war in Afghanistan marked a turning point on Sunday when Taliban extremists entered the capital Kabul and captured Rashtrapati Bhavan and President Ashraf Ghani had to leave the country along with domestic and foreign nationals.
