UP Budget 2022 Highlights: Ayodhya, Mathura, and Kashi... These are holy places of pilgrimage, but these are the high places from where the BJP government can leave an impact on the political landscape by showing the countryside the tableau of religious-cultural nationalism. With the construction of the Ram temple, the all-around development of Ayodhya and Kashi was the priority of the Yogi government in the first term. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has indicated from the budget that that stream of development will flow more rapidly in the second term. The special thing is that apart from religious places, the Yogi government is going to draw a big line of protection of folk culture concerning the great men.

 

The Yogi government gave a lot of height to religious-cultural tourism as compared to the previous governments. Projects worth billions of rupees are going on with the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The entire Kashi is undergoing rejuvenation along with the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham complex. Development works were done at pilgrimage sites like Maa Vindhyavasini Dham, Mathura-Vrindavan, Chitrakoot, Naimisharanya, Shringverpur, etc.

In the Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra issued during the assembly elections, the BJP also kept the development of these religious cities in its priorities. They are also important from the point of view of the Lok Sabha elections going to be held in 2024. Understanding this, the Yogi government has arranged Rs 155.50 crore for the schemes of the Department of Tourism, Culture, and Charity. With this, not only will Ayodhya and Kashi show the tableau of religious-cultural nationalism, but there is also a preparation to neutralize the limited influence of regional parties by playing a big stake in preserving folk culture with regional connectivity.

 

Three crores of 50 lakh rupees have been given for Uttar Pradesh Vindhya Dham Teerth Vikas Parishad and three crores of 50 lakh rupees will also be spent for Chitrakoot Dham pilgrimage development. Institute of Hotel Management in Gorakhpur with Rs 5 crore and Food Craft Institute in Aligarh will be upgraded to State Institute of Hotel Management with Rs 5 crore. The government has also taken a big step toward the protection of folk culture. Fulfilling the resolution of Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra, Keshavdas Bundeli Academy, Goswami Tulsidas Awadhi Academy, and Surdas Braj Bhasha Academy have been announced.

 

The door of reverence from Sant Ravidas and Kabir: BJP is continuously strengthening the atmosphere of reverence for the Gods as well as the great men. Under this effort, Rs 25 crore will be spent for the establishment of the Sant Ravidas Museum and Cultural Center in Varanasi and Rs 25 crore for the construction of Sant Kabir Sangrahalaya. One crore has been given for Maharishi Valmiki Cultural Center in Chitrakoot, five crores for Nishadraj Guha Cultural Center in Shringverpur, and one crore for Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial and Cultural Center in Lucknow. A large following section of these saints and great men are in Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, a provision of Rs 60 crore has been made for the construction of tribal museums. Rs 20 crore will be spent on setting up, building, expanding, and upgrading the museums.

 

Information about temples will be available from the portal: BJP had promised in the Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra that an online integrated temple information system would be created. Through the portal, the information of all the major temples will be available to the devotees. 50 lakhs has been given in the budget to complete these schemes. Fulfilling the second resolution, the government has allocated one crore rupees for setting up a board for the implementation of schemes for the overall welfare of elderly priests, saints, and priests.

 

Opened box for infrastructure facilities at religious places: In the financial year 2022-23, Rs 300 crore will be spent for the construction of Ram Janmabhoomi temple, and access road to Ayodhya Dham, while Rs 209.70 crore will be given for the development of public facilities and parking in Ayodhya. went. There is to be an extension of the route from the banks of the Ganges to Kashi Vishwanath Dham in Varanasi, for which a provision of Rs.77 crore has been made. Similarly, Rs 100 crore each will be spent on the development and beautification of tourism facilities in Varanasi and Ayodhya.
