The atmosphere is heating up as the voting phase progresses in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. In the Karhal assembly seat of Mainpuri, in front of Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav, the convoy of the Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate, Union Minister of State for Law, SP Singh Baghel, was attacked late on Tuesday evening. BJP leaders have blamed the Samajwadi Party for the incident. It has been claimed that SP Singh Baghel has been attacked by SPA goons from the Karhal seat.

UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has put the Samajwadi Party in the dock over the attack on the convoy of Union Minister SP Singh Baghel, BJP candidate from Karhal assembly. He tweeted and said that 'Akhilesh Yadav Ji, because of the fear of defeat in the election, you make your pet goons attack BJP candidates and BJP leaders, you have not attacked and ensured your defeat, is this the new SP that fights against you? Will attack you!'

Keshav Prasad Maurya, in his next tweet, alleged that the attack on the convoy of Union Minister SP Singh Baghel, BJP candidate from Mainpuri's Karhal assembly constituency, has shown the real character, yesterday BJP MP Geeta Shakya was also attacked. Strict action will be taken against the culprits of both incidents. Keshav Prasad Maurya has demanded from the Election Commission to deploy central forces at every booth in Mainpuri.

UP BJP state president Swatantra Dev Singh has said that Akhilesh Yadav is standing on the verge of defeat, that is why the attack has been done. "The attack on the convoy of Union Minister SP Singh Baghel, BJP candidate from Karhal assembly, shows that SP candidate Akhilesh Yadav is standing on the verge of defeat from there," he tweeted. Victory in elections is achieved on the strength of the blessings of the people, not on the strength of the terror of the goons.

He was returning after campaigning in Parar Shahpur at around 7.30 pm on Tuesday. Pro. According to Baghel, the attackers hiding in the fields near village Atikullapur pelted stones at his convoy.
