The eighth season of Pakistan Super League came to an end on Saturday. Lahore Qalandars won the league title for the second time in a row. Under the captaincy of Shaheen Afridi, Lahore defeated Mohammad Rizwan's Multan Sultans by one run. Batting first, Qalandars scored 200 runs losing six wickets in 20 overs. Abdullah Shafiq played an inning of 65 runs in 40 balls. At the same time, Captain Shaheen scored an unbeaten 44 runs in 15 balls. Lahore then restricted Multan to a score of 199/8. After the end of Pakistan Super League, now fans are waiting for the 16th edition of IPL.

IPL is considered to be the richest and most loved T20 league in the world because of its massive fan-following and thrilling matches. However, Pakistan Cricket Board chief Najam Sethi has now given a shocking opinion about both the leagues and said that PSL is a bigger success than IPL in terms of digital ratings. Najan Sethi had said before the PSL final – let's talk about digital. The PSL was only halfway through the season, so I asked about our digital ratings. Najam Sethi show used to have 0.5 rating on TV whereas PSL is getting more than 11 ratings. So, when it gets completed, it will have a rating of 18 or 20.

He said, 'More than 150 million people watched the Pakistan Super League digitally. This is not a small thing. At the same time IPL had a digital rating of 130 million, while PSL had a TV rating of over 150 million. So it is a big success for Pakistan. Talking about IPL, the first match of the world's biggest cricket league will be played between the defending champions Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
