UP Election 2022: Campaigning for the fifth phase of polling will stop this evening, voting will be held on February 27

The campaigning work for the fifth phase of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections will end at 6 pm on Friday. Voting will be conducted in 12 districts of the state on February 27 following free, fair, and covid rules. For this, instructions have been given to complete the necessary preparations. Polling for the 61 assembly seats in the fifth phase will be held from 7 am to 6 pm.

 

Chief Electoral Officer Ajay Kumar Shukla said that in the fifth phase, Amethi, Rae Bareli, Sultanpur, Chitrakoot, Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Barabanki, Ayodhya, Bahraich, Shravasti, and Gonda assembly constituencies come. For this, the publicity campaign being done by public representatives from 6 pm on Friday will be effectively stopped. Shukla said that necessary instructions have been given to the administration to make proper arrangements so that voters do not face any kind of trouble at the polling booths.
