After voting in Varanasi, till late Monday night, all 3317 EVMs were kept assembly-wise in the strong room at Pahariya. Here the counting of votes is to be held on March 10. The EVMs going from Pahariya Mandi to UP College for training were stopped by the SP workers on the spot and created a ruckus. The driver and a worker were kept in his possession for hours and raised slogans against the police administration. During this, Additional Director General of Police Zone Ram Kumar, who reached the spot, and the police vehicle were also vandalized. The SP workers also raised their voices against the BJP, alleging EVM rigging.
The SP workers did not even spare the media in anger. The SPs also called the media good and bad about the exit polls. And also broke the camera of a TV channel. Along with this, some activists also created ruckus at four places in the city. Shortly after the incident, District Election Officer Kaushal Raj Sharma and Police Commissioner A Satish Ganesh also reached the spot. The SPs raised slogans against these officers fiercely. The officers tried a lot to explain but things did not work out. Told to show even CCTV footage. Former SP minister Surendra Singh Patel was even made to inspect the strong room, but the people of SP were not ready to listen to anything. The SP did not allow them to come out of the market. Had to come back from the vehicle again and sit in the strong room. Seeing the commotion, a huge force has gathered here.

A vehicle going to the strong room located at Government Polytechnic College in Sonbhadra was caught by SP workers on Tuesday afternoon. It was alleged that there was a ballot paper in it. The ballot paper which should not have been with the EVM was being sent there. In Bareilly, SP leaders stopped the vehicle of the Municipal Corporation going inside the counting place with locked boxes. On Tuesday, the SPs sitting under the surveillance of EVMs kept at the counting site in the FCI godown in Unnao saw a hammer, screwdriver in an officer's car. There was an uproar over this for a long time. After this, the matter was settled after telling him the vehicle tool kit.
On the other hand, Rakesh Tikait, the national spokesperson of BKU in Baghpat, took a jibe at the BJP and said that the public did not vote for them, but they are claiming victory.
