Jawaharlal Nehru Nehru Birth Anniversary: The birth anniversary of the country's first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru is being celebrated across the country. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was born on this day i.e. November 14, 1889. Children's Day is celebrated in his honor on Nehru Jayanti.

 

On this occasion, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Sonia Gandhi paid tribute to him. Mallikarjun Kharge and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi reached Shanti Van, the tomb of Pandit Nehru, and offered him flowers.

 

'Architect of Modern India'

Congress shared a message through the social media handle X on Pandit Nehru's Jayanki. Wrote in the post, Pt. Nehru, our first Prime Minister, was a visionary who established an iconic welfare state and a self-reliant, industrialized nation based on agricultural development and advances in science and technology. Today, we cherish the rich, unique legacy of the 'Architect of Modern India'.

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday paid tribute to Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary. PM Modi wrote on social media handle X, "Tributes to our first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru ji on his birth anniversary."

 

India's first Prime Minister Nehru was born in Prayagraj in 1889 and was one of the leading faces of the country's freedom struggle.
