Despite all this, these arrangements are proving to be insufficient for the passengers to a large extent. A large number of passengers still rely on Tatkal tickets. Holi special train started from today for Anand Vihar-Sitamarhi
For the convenience of the passengers going home on Holi, the Railways has started operating the Anand Vihar-Sitamarhi Holi Special from Saturday. Till March 20, this train will make two trips from both sides. This train left for the first time at 12:30 pm on Saturday. This train has also been stopped at Ghaziabad. Due to this, the people of Ghaziabad, Sahibabad as well as Noida will also be able to come to Ghaziabad and board it.
According to the local railway officials, this train will leave from Anand Vihar at 12:30 pm on Saturday and Tuesday and will reach Sitamarhi at 8:30 pm the next night. In the return direction, it will leave Sitamarhi at 12:15 PM on Sunday and Wednesday and will reach Anand Vihar at 11:45 PM the next night. This train will also stop at Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Paniya Hawa, Narkatiaganj, and Raxaul stations.
These are the other special trains going to Bihar
Anand Vihar-Muzaffarpur Holi Special will run from March 12 to March 19, Anand Vihar-Jayanagar Holi Special from March 11 to 23, Anand Vihar-Jogbani Holi Special from March 12 to 21. The stoppage of these trains will not remain in Ghaziabad. Passengers of Ghaziabad, Sahibabad, and Noida will be able to travel in these trains from Anand Vihar.

Sri Ganganagar-Varanasi (Kashi) Holiday Special train is leaving from Sriganganagar on Sunday, 13th March. Union Minister of State and MP Nihalchand Meghwal will flag off the train from Sriganganagar railway station at 6.10 pm. For the first time with the efforts of MP Meghwal, people of the area will be able to travel from Sri Ganganagar to Bareilly, Moradabad, Lucknow, and Sultanpur by train. Due to this, the railway passengers of Abohar, Malout, Giddarbaha are happy.
Train No. 04530 will leave Sri Ganganagar at 6.10 pm on Sundays and Wednesdays from 13th March to 20th March and will leave Sri Ganganagar at 7.05 pm, Abohar, 7.51 Malout, 8.11 Giddarbaha, 8.40 Bathinda, 9.40 Rampur Phool, 10.10 Barnala, 10.42 Dhuri, 11.42 Patiala, 12.12 pm. Rajpura, 12.50 Ambala Cantt, Yamunanagar at 2 pm, 2.44 Saharanpur, Moradabad at 6.10 am next day, Moradabad at 7.40 am, Alamnagar, 11.30 am Lucknow and 1.38 pm to reach Varanasi at 5 pm next day via Sultanpur. In the return direction, Train No. 04529 will leave Varanasi at 9.00 hrs on Monday and Thursday and will reach Sri Ganganagar at 09.15 hrs the next day. This fully reserved train will have a total of 18 coaches with one AC, two and three combined, 12 sleepers, 3 two S, and 2 SLR. ZRUCC member Bhim Sharma told that if the train gets a good response then its frequency can be increased.
Passengers relying on Tatkal seats
On Holi, passengers coming from Delhi and Mumbai to Lucknow are facing a tussle for seats. In such a situation, they now have the confidence of only five thousand seats of Tatkal. On the other hand, those returning after Holi are also clamoring for confirmed seats. Their problems have also increased due to increasing waiting in trains.
Special trains being run for the passengers of Lucknow
The festival of colors will be celebrated on 18th March. Those doing jobs or studies in Delhi and Mumbai have started returning to Lucknow. Special trains are also being run for them, but only fifteen percent of waiting passengers are getting relief from them. About 65 thousand passengers will return to Lucknow from Delhi and Mumbai. In such a situation, now there is an immediate trust in front of them.
There was also a problem with return tickets
On the other hand, even for those going from Lucknow to Delhi and Mumbai after Holi, there is a lot of demand for confirmed seats. There are 102 waiting on the 19th in the sleeper of Pushpak Express going from Lucknow to Mumbai. Whereas on March 20, 145, and 21, 109 waiting has been reached. In the same third AC, waiting is going on 34, 13, and 22 on these dates.
Whereas in the sleeper of Gorakhpur LTT the waiting is 47, 83, and 84 on these dates and 21, 15, and eight in the third AC. Kushinagar Express is waiting for 58, 86, and 75 in sleeper and 15, 23, and 25 in third AC. Waiting of Avadh Express is 127, 146, and 118 in Sleeper and 30, 32, and 24 in Third AC.
Hope for relief from Shatabdi, Tejas
However, Tejas can give relief to the passengers. In Tejas chair car, 365 seats are vacant on 19. However, waiting for 49 and 13 is going on on 20 and 21. 127 seats in the executive class are vacant on 19. After this, there are 13 waiting on Sunday and 86 seats are vacant on Monday. Similarly, on March 19, 453 seats are vacant in the chair car of Shatabdi Express. 135 waiting is going on on 20 and 149 seats on 21 are vacant.
Railways prepared this action plan
Like every year, Railways has prepared an action plan regarding the Holi festival. Along with running a maximum number of trains, preparations have also been made regarding security. Along with additional counters at stations, railway officers have been deployed for the continuous announcement of special trains, crowd control, deployment of the police force, dog squad as well as continuous monitoring.
With the convenience and safety of the passengers, the railways will run special trains on many routes to take them to their destination. A large number of trains will be run for the passengers going towards Purvanchal direction. Additional coaches will be added to regular trains.
Special trains are running in many directions
For the last one week, because of the increasing number of passengers daily, it is being announced to run special trains. According to railway officials, a large number of special trains will be run on March 15, 16, and 17. So that the maximum number of people can get the facility. Special train 04048 from Anand Vihar to Muzaffarpur will leave on Wednesday. 04058 will leave for Jaynagar on Tuesday. Will leave for Sitamarhi on Tuesday. A special train will run for Saharsa on Thursday. Will leave for Darbhanga on Monday and Thursday. Apart from this, Prayagraj Superfast (01907) will run on 20 March. Similarly, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Mau, Bandra Terminus-Barauni, Madgaon-Gorakhpur, Jind-Jaipur Mela special trains will also be run.
