During this, Biden also insisted on holding maritime boundary talks between Israel and Lebanon. During this, they discussed topics such as America's support and cooperation for a sovereign and independent Iraq.
Biden lauded Kadhimi's leadership during rising tensions and violence, the readout said, adding that he praised the performance of Iraqi security forces and offered condolences to the families of those killed in recent fighting. Meanwhile, the US President and Prime Minister welcomed the return of safety on the streets and called on all Iraqi leaders to engage in a national dialogue to create a common path in line with Iraq's constitution and laws.
