One thing has been decided in the meeting of the State Election Committee in Lucknow that most of the MLAs will not be repeated. That is, this time the tickets of many of those who had reached the assembly after electing MLAs on BJP tickets will be cut. It has been decided that those whose performance has been the worst in five years will not be given tickets. Apart from this, it has also been decided not to give tickets to any person promoting familyism. It is expected that in the next three to four days, the Bharatiya Janata Party will release its first list of candidates.

BJP and Sangh prepared report cards of MLAs

According to BJP sources, the names of possible candidates were discussed in the Uttar Pradesh Election Committee meeting held in Lucknow on Monday. During this, it was also decided that who is to be given tickets and how the tickets of the people are to be cut. Sources involved in the meeting say that it has been decided that only those BJP MLAs who have had the worst tenure of five years will not be given tickets. Its assessment is to be done based on the report of the Bharatiya Janata Party prepared by the assembly constituency and the report prepared by the Sangh itself. This report has been prepared assembly-wise on some specific points. Sources associated with this committee say that they have a complete account of all their MLAs ready. According to sources, as the date of nomination gets closer, the list of candidates will continue to be released. At present, it is estimated that the first list will be released on January 14 or 15.

Tickets for winning candidates only

In the meeting held in Lucknow, it was decided that those who will be given tickets for the first time should not have a criminal record at all. Apart from this, the strictness will also increase on tickets received in the name of familism. Sources reveal that during this it was also decided that only those loyal workers of the party, who will be accepted and will be a winning candidate, will be given tickets. A senior party leader says that the decision has been taken not to give tickets to the family members. However, a big leader of the party has to say that if a worker is working continuously for the party in the family with the same zeal, then his ticket will be considered.

The final decision will be taken by the Parliamentary Board.

According to BJP sources, it is estimated that this time the tickets of a large number of MLAs will be cut. Although this decision will be taken by the Parliamentary Board in Delhi, the Election Committee has made a complete blueprint for it in its preparations. At present, the party's state president Swatantra Dev Singh has been authorized to send the proposal of a panel of three names. In the meeting to be held in Delhi on Tuesday, the name of the candidates for the first phase of assembly elections may be decided from this panel. Sources also say that the trend of distribution of tickets from west to east will not remain the same. That is, if more seats are changed in the West, then it will not mean that the seats in the East should be changed accordingly. But it is being speculated that this time the names of some of the assembly candidates from BJP are going to appear very unexpectedly.
