The date that the country was waiting for has been announced. Corona vaccination program across the country is going to start on January 16 i.e. next Saturday. Health workers and front line workers will be preferred for the vaccine, numbering 3 crore. After these, the vaccine will be given to people above 50 years of age and those below the age of 50 years who are suffering from serious diseases. In this way, about 27 crore people will be vaccinated.

The vaccine will have two doses. These will be given at a difference of 28 days. Everyone has to apply two doses, only then the vaccine schedule will be completed. Two weeks after the second dose, antibodies to protect the body from corona will be formed. Antibody is the protein present in the body that neutralizes the attack of viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites.

Modi held a meeting to know the preparations

Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a high-level meeting on Saturday to review the situation in the country. In this, he also reviewed the preparations of the states for vaccination. Cabinet Secretary, Principal Secretary, Health Secretary, and other senior officers also attended the meeting.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated the nation on social media. Wrote, "India is going to take an important step forward in the fight against Covid-19 on January 16." From this day the vaccination drive will start at the national level. In this, priority will be given to all the frontline workers including our brave doctors, healthcare workers, scavengers. ''

2 vaccines approved in the country

The Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) has approved two vaccines for emergency use.

The first vaccine is Coveshield, created by AstraZeneca and Oxford University.

In India, the Serum Institute of India (SII) is producing CoveShield.

When its half dose was given, the efficiency remained at 90%. A month later Iffiksey was 62% in full dose.

The average efficiency in both types of doses was 70%. 5 crore doses of Covishield are ready.

The second vaccine is covaxin. The results of its phase-3 trials have not been done yet. Covaxin is being made by Bharat Biotech.

According to the results of its Phase-2 trials, antibodies made in the body due to covaxin will last for 6 to 12 months. 20 million doses of covaxin are ready.

41 airports identified for vaccine delivery

Presently, 41 destinations (airports) have been identified across the country, where the vaccine will be delivered. Delhi and Karnal will be made mini hubs in northern India. Kolkata and Guwahati will be made mini hubs in the eastern region. Guwahati is the nodal point for the entire North-East. Chennai and Hyderabad will be fixed points for South India.

7 big questions related to vaccination and their answers…

1. Will the vaccine be available without registration?

No. It will not be. Registration is required. The place where the vaccine will be placed will be informed only after registration. The government has created a COVIN (Co-WIN) app, which will provide technical assistance in real-time monitoring of the vaccine. Only people will be able to register on this. Anyone can create a unique health ID from Co-WIN and save it to DigiLocker.

2. What type of documents will be required for registration?

These documents along with the photo have to be produced for registration: driving license, health insurance smart card issued by the Ministry of Labor, MGNREGA job card, MP, ID card issued to legislators, PAN card, bank/post office passbook, Passport, pension document, service ID and voter ID card issued to employees by the central and state government.

3. What if I do not have a photo ID?

It will be necessary to present a photo ID at the time of registration and vaccination. It will only be known that the right person is vaccinated.

4. How will people get information about the date of vaccination?

People who have registered online will get SMS. They will be informed about the date, place, and time.

5. How many people will be vaccinated in each session?

Initially, only 100 people will be vaccinated in each session of vaccination. If the availability and arrangement of the vaccine are improved, then this number can also be 200.

6. Will you get status information on vaccination?

Yes After the vaccination, the person will receive an SMS on the registered mobile number. The QR-Code based certificate will also be sent after applying all the doses.

7. If a person has symptoms of corona or is positive, will they get the vaccine?

No. The government says that such people can spread infection by visiting vaccination sites. I do not know how effective the vaccine will be in such a situation. Experts believe that those who have an infection should undergo vaccination 14 days after the symptoms are gone.
