The applications challenging the three new agricultural laws were heard in the Supreme Court on Tuesday for the second consecutive day. The court prohibited the implementation of all three laws. Also, a committee of 4 members has been formed to discuss this issue.
These people are included in the committee
1. Bhupendra Singh Mann, Indian Farmers Union
2. Dr. Pramod Kumar Joshi, Head of International Policy
3. Ashok Gulati, Agricultural Economist
4. Anil Ghanwat, Shetkari Sanghatana, Maharashtra
Earlier, during the debate, the petitioner ML Sharma said that the farmers have refused to appear before the committee to be constituted by the Supreme Court. Farmers say that many people are coming for discussion, but the Prime Minister is not coming forward. On this, Chief Justice SA Bobde said - cannot speak to the Prime Minister, in this case, he is not a party.

Chief Justice: We want to suspend the implementation of the law right now, but not indefinitely. We have faith in the committee and we will make it. This committee will be part of the judicial process. The committee will be formed so that the picture can be clearly understood.
We also do not want to hear the argument that the farmers will not go to this committee. We want a solution to the issue. If the farmers want to go on an indefinite agitation, do it.
Whoever wants a solution to the issue will go to the committee. The committee will not sentence anyone, nor issue any order. She will only hand over the report to us. This is not politics. There is a difference between politics and judicial. You have to co-operate.
ML Sharma (Chief Petitioner Challenging Agricultural Laws): Justice JS Khehar, Justice GS Singhvi can be included in the committee. However, farmers are saying that many people came to discuss, but the Prime Minister did not come, who is the main person.
Chief Justice: We cannot ask the Prime Minister to go to the meeting. Another official of the Prime Minister is present here.
ML Sharma: Under the new agriculture law, if a farmer contracts, his land can also be sold. This is the mastermind plan. Corporates will declare the yield of the farmers as bad and they will have to sell their land to pay the damages.
Chief Justice: We will issue interim orders that no farmer's land will be sold at the time of contract.
AP Singh (Indian Farmers Union-Bhanu's Advocate): The farmers have said that they are ready to send back the elderly, women, and children.
Chief Justice: We want to praise this by taking this into the record.
Vikas Singh (Advocate for Farmers' Organizations): Farmers need a prominent place for their performance, otherwise the movement will have no meaning. Demonstrations must be approved at the Ramlila Maidan or Boat Club.
Chief Justice: We will say in our order that farmers ask the Police Commissioner of Delhi for permission to perform at Ramlila Maidan or any other place.
One petition states that a banned organization is helping the peasant movement. Whether the Attorney General believes it or not?
KK Venugopal (Attorney Journal): We have said that the Khalistanis have infiltrated the movement.
