Veteran Tamil actor Rajesh Williams passed away at the age of 75, Rajinikanth expressed grief by posting.

Veteran actor and businessman Rajesh Williams died in Chennai on Thursday, May 29. He was 75 years old. Rajesh has acted in many Tamil and Malayalam films and TV serials. The actor worked as a supporting and lead actor throughout his film career.

 

Wife died in 2012

Rajesh's nephew confirmed the news to DT Next. He said that the actor died on Thursday. He complained of low blood pressure in the morning and died while being taken to the hospital. He is survived by his daughter Divya and son Deepak. Deepak made his debut as an actor in the year 2014. His wife Joan Sylvia Vanthirayar died in 2012.

 

Rajinikanth expressed grief by sharing a post on Insta

South superstar Rajinikanth expressed grief on hearing the news of the death of his close friend Rajesh. Rajinikanth wrote in Tamil on Twitter, "The news of the death of my close friend Rajesh has shocked and saddened me. A wonderful person, may his soul rest in peace. My deepest condolences to his family and friends."

 

Filmmaker Dhananjayan wrote on Twitter.

 

Producer-writer G Dhananjayan posted, "Very sad to read about the demise of actor Rajesh sir, he was a fine actor and a respected figure in the film industry. My deepest condolences to the family. Rest in Peace Sir."

 

Actress Radhika Sarathkumar also mourned his death. She wrote on Instagram, "It was a huge shock to hear of Rajesh's unexpected demise. We have done many films together and I have great respect for his vast knowledge of cinema and life. Family, friends, and the film fraternity will miss him dearly. #RIP"

 

Has worked in more than 100 films

Known for his powerful acting and strong screen presence, Rajesh has worked in more than 100 Tamil films in a career spanning several decades. He was launched by veteran filmmaker K Balachander in the film Aval Oru Thodar Kathai.
