The festive shopping season is set to get underway with Amazon India announcing the start date of its annual Great Indian Festival 2026 sale. The mega shopping event will begin on October 8, 2026, with deals across smartphones, electronics, fashion, beauty, home appliances, groceries and other everyday essentials.
Amazon is also highlighting new product launches, exchange offers, No Cost EMI options and several dedicated deal categories as part of this year's festive sale.
Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026: Deals and Offers
According to Amazon, shoppers can expect special deal formats including Blockbuster Deals, Top 100 Deals, Mega Deals and 8 PM Deals during the Great Indian Festival. The company is also promoting offers such as Buy More Save More, Exchange Mela, Amazon Combos and No Cost EMI options across eligible products.
The sale will cover a wide range of categories, including smartphones, consumer electronics, TVs, fashion, beauty products, kitchen and outdoor products, home décor, appliances and everyday essentials.
Amazon says customers can expect its lowest prices of the year on a wide selection of products, although individual product prices and discounts will vary and will be revealed closer to the sale.
SBI Cardholders, Prime Members to Get Additional Benefits
Amazon has announced a 10% instant discount on eligible transactions using SBI Credit and Debit Cards, including eligible credit-card EMI transactions. Prime members will also be able to access up to 10% additional savings on select offers, subject to the applicable terms.
The exact discount available on individual products will depend on the offer and eligibility conditions. Shoppers should check the terms displayed on Amazon during the sale before making a purchase.
Prime members will also have access to a festive entertainment lineup on Prime Video, with new Originals and other titles across genres and languages.
Amazon Expands Delivery Network Ahead of Festive Sale
Amazon is also expanding its logistics infrastructure ahead of the festive shopping rush. The company has announced 20 new fulfilment centres, six new sort centres and 150 new last-mile delivery stations as part of what it describes as its biggest-ever operations network expansion in India.
The company has created more than 160,000 seasonal work opportunities across its operations network covering around 400 cities in India.
Amazon Now to Reach 100 Cities Before Diwali
Amazon is also expanding its quick-commerce service, Amazon Now, ahead of the festive season. The service currently reaches millions of customers in more than 60 cities, including Tier 2 and Tier 3 locations such as Jalandhar, Tirupati, Warangal, Dharwad, Vellore and Berhampur. Amazon says Amazon Now is planned to reach 100 cities before Diwali.
The service offers rapid delivery of selected products, including groceries, household essentials, personal care items, fashion and beauty products, small appliances and home and kitchen products. Availability varies by location and PIN code.
