Weather Update Today: According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), due to the new easterly wave, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in South Peninsular India during the next 5 days. The highest rainfall was recorded in Tamil Nadu on 20 November. IMD has issued an orange alert for Puducherry and Karaikal and advised people to avoid going on unpaved roads and crowded areas.

Let us tell you that it has been raining heavily in Kerala and Mahe since yesterday. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for here also. According to IMD, the rainy season in Tamil Nadu and Kerala is likely to continue in the coming two days. There is a possibility of heavy rain here from 19 to 23 November.

According to the IMD report, due to the influence of easterly waves, scattered to very heavy rainfall with isolated heavy falls is likely over South Peninsular India.

There is no possibility of any active western disturbance impacting northwest India between 23 and 29 November.

Rainfall activity is likely to be above normal over South Peninsular India.

There is a possibility of rain in most parts of East and Northeast India.

Rain is also expected in the plains of northwest India and many parts of central India.

Cold has increased in other states including the national capital. Today's temperature in Delhi is going to drop by 2 degrees, due to which the cold will increase further. According to the Meteorological Department, there is an active Western Disturbance in Pakistan, which is slowly moving towards the east. Due to this, strong winds may blow in the plains of northwestern India, due to which a sudden drop in temperature will be recorded. According to IMD, from 21st to 25th November the temperature will drop in many states including Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan.

The light cold has been felt in Delhi today. Talking about the temperature today (November 21), the maximum temperature is likely to be 26 degrees while the minimum temperature is likely to be 13 degrees. Apart from this, from 22nd to 24th November the maximum temperature is likely to be 26 degrees and the minimum temperature is likely to be 12 degrees. The air in Delhi remains poisonous. According to the news agency ANI, the air quality index (AQI) in the national capital is in the 'very poor' category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), AQI has been recorded at 374 in Anand Vihar, 399 in Jahangirpuri, 315 in Lodhi Road, and 370 in New Moti Bagh.

Himachal city Shimla is experiencing the maximum cold. Despite sunshine, the maximum temperature in Mandi has recorded a drop of 8.9 degrees. At the same time, the maximum temperature of Shimla remained at 18.8. With the onset of cold, snowfall has become more intense on the higher peaks of the state. An increase in the number of tourists has also been seen here. According to the latest forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain clear on Tuesday i.e. today.
