There are ups and downs in the weather across the country. In the hilly areas, there is a possibility of rain in the midst of the cold, while there is a drop in the temperature in the country's capital Delhi and its surrounding areas.

According to the Meteorological Department, today i.e. on November 1, 2022, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in 5 states including Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. School colleges have been closed in many districts of Tamil Nadu because of the heavy rains. An orange alert has been issued in the state. The weather has issued an alert for heavy rain in 5 states today.

According to Skymet Weather, due to the Western Disturbance in November, there will be heavy snowfall over the mountains along with light rain or moderate rain at one or two places in many states of North India. There will be good rain in some places over Punjab but light rain is possible over North Rajasthan including Haryana, Delhi, and Northwest Uttar Pradesh. Northeast Monsoon will remain active over West India.

At the same time, the air quality of Delhi NCR is in the very poor category. With the onset of winter in Delhi, the havoc of pollution is increasing. The AQI of many areas is in the very poor category. According to the Meteorological Department, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Dhirpur (Delhi) has reached 594. There will be heavy rain in these states today

According to the Meteorological Department, many parts of the country including Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, and Karaikal are receiving rain from North-East Monsoon. Rain is forecast in these states for the next three days. MID has forecast rain for today in many places including Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Andaman, Nicobar, Yanam, Kerala, and Mahe. With this, there is a possibility of rain in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and Nagaland today.

School-college closed due to heavy rains in Tamil Nadu

Because of heavy rains, an Orange alert has been issued in some states of South India and a Yellow alert in some states. Because of heavy rains in Tamil Nadu, instructions have been issued to close schools and colleges in many districts. Schools and colleges in Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, and Mayiladuthurai districts will remain closed today, November 1 because of heavy rain warnings by IMD.

Heavy snowfall is expected in these states due to the western disturbance

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain along with snowfall in the hilly states due to western disturbances. In the next few days, there will be a triple attack of snowfall, rain, and cold in the hill states. Due to this people's problems can increase. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Himachal Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, now dry northwest winds are blowing from north and west to central India. These winds will pass through snowy areas after snowfall on the mountains and will reach most parts of North India with coolness.

Chills will increase from North to Central India

According to MID, from November 6-7, due to two western disturbances in the country, the chill will increase from north to central India. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the first Western Disturbance has knocked in Kashmir. From November one or two, there is a possibility of rain with snow in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal, and Uttarakhand. At the same time, the second western disturbance will come on November 3. Due to this, there is a forecast of heavy snowfall from Kashmir to Himachal and Uttarakhand from November 5 to 6. Due to this, from 8-9 November, there will be a drop in temperature in many states of the country including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, and Odisha.
