Weather Update Today: Delhi's winter! The temperature dropped by 3.8 degrees; Zero visibility recorded on IGI

Amidst the severe cold, a significant drop in the morning temperature was recorded in Delhi on Friday. For the first time in this winter season, the minimum temperature was recorded at 3.8 degrees, which is three degrees below normal.

 

The chilling cold will persist even during the day

Not only this, the fog was also seen to be the densest of this season. The situation was such that visibility at IGI Airport reached zero. The runway visual range was reduced to 125 to 200 meters. The chilling cold will persist even during the day.

The temperature on Thursday was 5.8 degrees

On Friday morning, Delhi's minimum temperature was recorded at 3.8 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal. A day earlier it was 5.8 degrees. At the same time, the visibility level at IGI Airport has remained zero since 4.30 am. There was no improvement even till nine in the morning.

 

The sky will be clear during the day but...

The weather department estimates that the sky will be clear during the day. It may become partly cloudy in the afternoon. It will be sunny, but bitterly cold conditions will also persist. The maximum temperature can be 19 to 20 degrees.

 

There is still no relief from polluted air

On the other hand, even on the 12th day of the New Year, Delhiites did not get relief from polluted air. Delhi's AQI was recorded at 348 at 9 am, which falls in the very poor category.

 

The cyber city is also in the grip of a cold

Cyber City i.e. Gurugram is also in the grip of severe cold on Friday. The minimum temperature here has reached 3.9 degrees Celsius.

 

Uttarakhand's rain will further increase melting and chill

Meteorologist Dr. Manjeet says that the chill will increase further because there are chances of rain in Uttarakhand for one or two days. This will cause cold winds to blow.
