
There was a huge explosion in East Medinipur of West Bengal last night. There is news of some people getting injured in the blast. It is being told that this blast took place at the house of a TMC leader. After the blast, there has been a stir in the surrounding area.
According to news agency ANI, the blast took place at TMC's booth president Rajkumar Manna's house in Arjun Nagar under the Bhupati Nagar police station area. The reason for the blast could not be ascertained. police are investigating the matter.
Blast before Abhishek Banerjee's rally
Significantly, a rally of CM Mamata Banerjee's nephew Abhishek Banerjee is to be held in East Medinipur. The rally is to be held at the college ground in Contai. Contai is the stronghold of BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari.
