British researchers have claimed that children may have symptoms of diarrhea, vomiting, and stomach cramps - the coronavirus.

Queens University Belfast is studying children and according to them the symptoms that are being monitored need to be added to it.

Currently, there are only three official symptoms of coronavirus - fever, cough, and the recognition of taste or smell. If any of these symptoms occur, the person is advised to remain in isolation and they are tested.

But from this study of British researchers about children, it seems that this list can be increased. About one thousand children were included in this study. According to this study published in Medrexi, antibodies to the virus have been seen in the body of 68 in 992 children.

Half of the children in whom antibodies have been detected have also been prescribed symptoms of Covid-10. However, there has not been a chance to admit any of these children to the hospital.

Dr. Tom Waterfield, the head of this research team, said, "It is a matter of relief that the children have not become very ill with the virus. But we do not know how many children the virus has passed from them. Our study shows diarrhea and vomiting in children. Has been seen as a symptom. We are considering adding it to the list of official symptoms. "

Possible symptoms of Covid-19 by the American Centers for Disease Control include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.

Earlier, Britain's National Health Service has identified three symptoms of the coronavirus.

As soon as these symptoms are detected, you have to be alert and take all precautions, including seeking medical advice.

What are these three characteristics

Constant cough- This can cause a persistent cough, that is, you may have a persistent cough for an hour or more and at least thrice within 24 hours. But if you have a cough, it can also be a matter of concern.

Fever- Due to this virus, the temperature of the body can rise to 37.8 ° C, due to which the person's body can become hot and he can feel cold.

Smell and taste not detected- Experts say that in addition to fever and cough, it is also a potentially important symptom of virus infection that should not be ignored.

In such a situation, if you or people you live with have any of these symptoms, then they should self-isolate themselves at home so that the infection does not reach others.

According to the American Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), chills, tremors, pain in the muscles, and sore throat can also be signs of coronation virus.

It is believed that it may take an average of five days for the coronavirus to start showing symptoms, but in some people, it may be shorter.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), there may be up to 14 days between the time the virus reaches the body and shows symptoms.

When does the need to be hospitalized?

Most of the people who have coronavirus infection can be cured by taking rest and pain-reducing medicines like paracetamol.

The need for hospitalization is when the person starts having trouble breathing. The doctor examines the lungs of the patient to find out how much the infection has increased and whether the patient needs oxygen or a ventilator.

But in this, the patient does not have to be admitted to the emergency department of the hospital i.e., Accident and Emergency.

Every information related to corona infection has been given on the website of the Department of Health and Family Welfare in India. British citizens can take all information related to Corona on the website of NHS 111.

If the patient is having difficulty breathing, then he can contact the Government of India helpline number + 91-11-23978046 or the 24-hour toll-free number 1075. Various states of the country have also started helplines for citizens, where they can be called if needed.

At the same time, in case of an emergency in the UK, people can contact the 999 number.

What happens in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)?

Intensive care units are special wards of hospitals where critically ill patients are kept.

Here, the oxygen requirement of coronavirus patients is fulfilled by applying an oxygen mask on the mouth or through a tube in the nose.

People who are seriously ill are kept on a ventilator. Here more supply of oxygen is directly delivered to the lungs. For this, a tube is placed in the patient's mouth, or by making an incision in the nose or throat, oxygen is given from there to the lungs.

What to do if you have mild symptoms of corona

Those who have mild symptoms of corona should self-isolate themselves at home for seven days.

According to the advice of experts, one should avoid going to the hospital directly if the mild symptoms of corona appear. But if needed, you can contact the doctors.

How to protect yourself from the coronavirus?

To avoid the coronavirus ie 'Covid 19', you wash your hands regularly with soap and water.

When someone infected with the coronavirus coughs or sneezes, very fine particles of his spit are spread in the air. These particles contain viruses of the coronavirus.

These viral particles can enter your body by way of breath when approaching an infected person.

If you touch a place where these particles have fallen and then touch your eye, nose, or mouth with the same hand, then these particles reach your body.

In this case, using a tissue while coughing and sneezing, not touching your face without washing your hands, and avoiding contact with an infected person is extremely important to prevent the virus from spreading.

According to medical experts, face masks do not provide effective protection.

How deadly is the coronavirus?

Compared to the statistics of coronavirus infection, the number of people killed is extremely low. Although these figures cannot be completely trusted, if the data is to be believed, then the death rate due to infection can be only one to two percent.

A World Health Organization study based on information collected about 56,000 infected people shows that -

6% of people became seriously ill due to this virus. These included lung failure, septic shock, organ failure, and death risk.

Severe signs of infection were seen in 14 percent of people. There were problems in breathing and problems like breathing quickly.

Minor symptoms of infection were seen in 80 percent of people, such as fever and cough. In many, pneumonia was also seen due to this.

Older people and people already suffering from respiratory disease (asthma) due to coronavirus infection, those facing problems like diabetes and heart disease are more likely to become seriously ill.

Treatment of the coronavirus is based on helping the patient's body breathe and increasing the body's immunity so that the person's body can fight the virus itself.

The work of making the coronavirus vaccine is still going on. If you come in contact with an infected person, you can be advised to stay away from others for a few days.

Public Health England has said that those who think they are infected should avoid going to the doctor, pharmacy, or hospital and seek information on the phone or online from the health workers in their area.

The World Health Organization has also released information about ways to take precautions for the people.

Upon seeing signs of infection, the person should contact their local healthcare officer or employee. Those who have come in contact with the corona virus-infected person in the past will be investigated.

All the patients arriving at the hospital who have symptoms of flu (cold and shortness of breath) will be examined by the Health Service Officer.

You will be asked to wait until the test results are out and keep yourself away from others.

What is the latest state of corona infection

Thousands of cases of coronavirus are being reported worldwide. But it is also believed that even now many cases have been saved from the eyes of health agencies.

According to the dashboard of John Hopkins University in the United States, the number of corona-infected people worldwide has crossed 26 million. So far, more than six and 63 thousand people have died due to this epidemic.

America remains the most affected country by Corona. More than 61 lakh 14 thousand people are infected in America whereas more than one lakh 85 thousand people have died there.

In Brazil, the number of corona infected has reached nearly 40 lakhs, while the number of people dying there is going to cross one lakh 24 thousand.

India is in the third place, where the number of corona infected has exceeded 38 lakhs, while more than 67 thousand people have died here so far.

In terms of those who die, Mexico is at the fourth place where more than 65 thousand people have died so far, more than six lakh 11 thousand cases have been reported here in terms of infection.

Russia ranks fourth in terms of infectives where more than 1 million people have been infected with Corona. The number of people who died there is more than 17 thousand.
