Why Pakistan will benefit more than India in Asia Cup 2022, the former captain told this reason

India will take on Pakistan in a blockbuster match on August 28 when the two teams face off in the Asia Cup 2022 at the Dubai ground. The two teams last faced each other in the T20 World Cup last year, where Pakistan defeated the Virat Kohli-led side by 10 wickets. However, a lot has changed since then, as now the captain of Team India is Rohit Sharma and the coach is Rahul Dravid.

Rohit Sharma has taken over the captaincy since the T20 World Cup and in whatever series India has participated in under his captaincy, India has not lost that series. On the other hand, former captain of Pakistan team Sarfaraz Ahmed has said that only the Pakistan team will get the benefit in Dubai. Sarfaraz says that India has played good cricket in the recent past, but Pakistan knows the conditions in the UAE better.

Talking to Sports PakTV, Sarfaraz said, "The first match of any tournament sets the tone of the tournament. Our first match is against India. Our morale will be high because when we clashed last time Pakistan won. Beat India on the same ground. Pakistan knows these conditions very well as we have played PSL and many home series here as well.

He also said, "Yes, India has played IPL here, but they do not have as much experience playing in these conditions as Pakistan has. Shaheen Shah Afridi needs to be fit for Pakistan. Looking at the team, they are playing good cricket, but our team is playing well, especially in the shortest format." India and Pakistan will clash at least twice.
