Meanwhile, the Union Home Ministry has ordered all states and union territories to conduct mock drills on Monday evening. This mock drill will be held tomorrow i.e. on May 7. Preparations are in full swing for this.

 

The Home Ministry has sent a circular to the Chief Secretaries of all states and union territories. According to this, civil defense exercises and rehearsals will be conducted in 244 districts of the country on May 7.

Let us tell you that in 2010, the Home Ministry also ordered mock drills, during which a list of 244 districts was revealed. The names of many big cities in the country were included in this list. What is a mock drill?

 

Mock drills are a type of emergency exercise. Usually, they are conducted to avoid natural disasters, fires, terrorist attacks, and other crises. Their purpose is to keep people alert about the impending danger and increase awareness. Mock drills include practices like an air raid warning system, hotline radio communication links with the Indian Air Force, defense training for common people, crash blackout measures, etc.
