Bhopal, March 20 (IANS) A woman was thrown off a running train in Madhya Pradesh after being robbed of her purse.
The victim, Sunita, was travelling to Jodhpur along with her husband Nilesh Jain and two children on the Vishakhapatnam-Jodhpur Express on Thursday.
"We boarded the train at Uslapur station in Bilaspur. My wife suddenly shouted and chased the robber. She nabbed him and tried to take her purse back. The robber tried to jump off the train as it was running at a slow speed. Failing to do so, he pushed Sunita and both fell off the train," Nilesh told IANS on Friday.
"I pulled the chain to stop the train and with the help of fellow passengers managed to get her back on the train. Sunita has suffered injuries on her legs," he said.
The robber, however, managed to flee away with the bag which contained cash, mobile phones and other essential things.
