Jammu, April 15 (IANS) BJP president Rajnath Singh said Tuesday that a BJP-led government won't tolerate incursion by Chinese troops and infiltration by terrorists from Pakistan.
Addressing an election rally in Udhampur town, 65 km from here, he said the Bharatiya Janata Party wants good relations with Pakistan and China "but we will not tolerate incursion and infiltration".
"China has been regularly sending in troops into our territory and each time our soldiers have to request them with folded hands to go back.
"Pakistan aids and abets infiltration (by terrorists). Their soldiers (also) cross the border, behead our soldiers and carry away their heads.
"An impression is being conveyed as if our army is helpless.
"Once our army is allowed a free hand, the world will know how powerful it is," he said.
Rajnath Singh demanded "fool-proof security" to village heads in Jammu and Kashmir, many of whom have been killed by terrorists.
He also told the 5,000-strong rally that if the BJP won the Lok Sabha election, "we will start crop insurance for farmers".
The BJP candidate in Udhampur, Jitender Singh, is pitted against former chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad of the Congress.
Udhampur will vote Thursday.
