He passed away on September 19th, after which his body was brought to Assam, and a crowd of fans gathered in Guwahati to pay their last respects. Singer's Footprints Preserved

Singer's Postmortem Being Conducted Again
Before the funeral, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Kumar Biswa announced a second postmortem on the singer. He said that the second postmortem will be conducted tomorrow morning at the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). A team from AIIMS, Guwahati, will also be present. He said the family has given their consent to this process. Sarma said the death certificate sent from Singapore states drowning as the cause of death, which is different from the post-mortem report.
Zubin's funeral will be held in Kamarkuchi, North Carolina, around 8 a.m. tomorrow. Zubin died four days ago, on September 19th, while scuba diving in Singapore.
