China Hackers: Chinese hackers stole millions of dollars of Kovid relief funds in the US, broke into all 50 states

NBC News, quoting the US Secret Service, has reported that hackers from China have stolen at least $20 million from America's Covid relief benefits. It also includes the Unemployment Insurance Fund and Small Business Administration loan facilities. It was told that these hackers associated with the Chinese government are associated with a Chengdu-based group known as APT-41.

 

The report noted that other federal investigations into the pandemic fraud also point to foreign state-related hackers. Roy Dotson, the Secret Service's national pandemic fraud recovery coordinator, said the group has targeted all 50 US states and that anyone would be crazy to think hackers couldn't do it. The official declined to confirm the scope of other investigations. More than 1,000 investigations are ongoing, he said, involving international and domestic criminals defrauding public benefit programs. He pointed out that in recent months the US has seen a sharp increase in espionage cases emanating from China. In this regard, in three separate cases, the US administration also charged 13 people, including members of China's security and intelligence apparatus and their agents.

 

America will protect its integrity
