India took some more responsibilities with G-20, trying to strengthen the international campaign against terror by assuming the presidency of G-20 countries on December 1, 2022, India has assumed some other responsibility. The most prominent of these is to become the President of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) in December 2022. India is currently a non-permanent member of the UNSC and its membership is expiring in December 2022. Every temporary member gets the responsibility of presidency twice for one month each. After August 2021, now this month India will take over this responsibility.

 

India became the president of Wassenaar

Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi said that this month India will try to reform plural institutions as well as work on strengthening the international campaign against terrorism. India has also become the chairman of the Wassenaar Arrangement from Thursday. This is a very prestigious organization of 42 countries in which India has been included only in December 2017. This organization works to make technology transfer at the international level, especially the transfer of technology related to weapons, transparent and accountable so that it cannot be misused.

India will also chair the SCO

Let us tell that it has become a member of three of the four international agreements considered important from the military point of view in the world. The Wassenaar system is included in this. The fourth agreement is the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) in which China is the biggest obstacle to India's entry. Let us tell you that India also has to preside over the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) this year. India has been made the chairman of SCO in September 2022.
