Due to the 15-day lockdown in Maharashtra, the shooting of films and serials has stopped. This has again created an employment crisis in front of 5 lakh technicians working on the set and other crew members. Technicians and crew members are the most affected by the lockdown in the film industry, giving an annual turnover of about 2.40 lakh crores. Reason- Most of these people work on daily wedges.

In a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, BN Tiwari and General Secretary Ashok Dubey, president of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), the largest association of Bollywood technicians and other crew, spoke about it. The federation has demanded that people associated with cinema be included in the relief package announced for other business people.

The finance minister has also been pleaded

According to President BN Tiwari, the Federation has also requested help from Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. He says- The film industry does a turnover of 2.40 lakh crores annually. Many types of taxes are available to the government. This industry is also a part of the country. A little help from the government will not change everyone's life, but we will feel that the government is standing with us. We have bank accounts, PAN numbers of sub workers. The government should extend its hand, we will make all the arrangements.

Lockdown and prolonged loss of Rs 1,000 crore

Mr. Tiwari says that the film industry's car had come on track with great difficulty. This time a lockdown of 15 days has been imposed, but if it runs more than that, the industry will incur a loss of at least 1,000 crores. This is a global disaster, in this, we are standing with the government, we will demand from the government that we get permission to shoot as per guidelines along with bio bubble.

Also include Cine Employees in the Economic Package

Federation's General Secretary Ashok Dubey said that we will support the government in the lockdown of 15 days, but the government should also help us. Daily wedges workers should be thought of. The government has given a package of 5,500 crores for the people of the rest of the trade, Cine Employees should also be included in that.

Vaccination will be held in Film City itself

According to General Secretary Ashok Dubey, the Federation had written to the government that it was not possible to stand in line to get vaccinated by visiting the vaccination center for employees working here all day. We were listened to and the rules were changed. Every day 8 to 10 thousand people work in Film City. Now a vaccination center will be set up for them in Film City itself.

Yash Raj Films has said that all the people working for them will get the vaccination done for all. If a producer comes forward, more producers will also come. The Federation has made arrangements with the support of Vikram Bhatt for a low rate test. People working here will be able to get an RT-PCR test for 550 rupees instead of 850. This test will be done every seven days.

Allow workers to stay on-site

Yash Raj Films says that workers in the construction industry remain on-site, the state government has allowed them to continue working. We will also appeal that our workers should also be allowed to work on the set.
