Delhi Air Pollution: There is no relief from pollution in Delhi-NCR, there is only smog all around; Know what is the AQI today

The country's capital Delhi remains a gas chamber. In such a situation, the people of Delhi are in trouble. There doesn't seem to be any relief before Diwali. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the air quality in Delhi remains in the severe category even on Tuesday. In the morning, there is a blanket of fog in many areas. In such a situation, people will have to wait for the weather to be kind. On the other hand, the government is implementing plans on the ground to make Delhi pollution-free. Odd-even is being implemented. Still, the air pollution index in many areas of Delhi NCR remains between 400 and 500. In many parts, PM2.5 has gone above the dangerous level of 500. Weather monitoring agencies have considered it 'severe'.

 

AQI was this much in Delhi on Monday

Delhi remained the most polluted day also. The air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 421 here on Monday. However, a decline of 33 points was recorded compared to Sunday. The air was recorded in severe category in 24 areas including Jahangirpuri and Wazirpur. There was a blanket of smog since morning. In such a situation, the same situation is expected to persist till Thursday. After Delhi, the air of Greater Noida remained more polluted in NCR. The fourth phase of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) is in force in Delhi.

 

This area of Delhi is the most polluted

AQI was recorded in severe category in 24 areas in Delhi on Monday. Whereas compared to Sunday, a decline was recorded in four areas. The air was very bad in five areas. In this, 458 AQI was recorded in Jahangirpuri, 455 in Wazirpur, 453 in Patparganj, 450 in Punjabi Bagh, 447 in RK Puram, and 445 in Rohini. AQI was recorded in severe category in many areas including 439 in Mundka, and 433 in Anand Vihar. The AQI was in the very poor category in six areas, including 398 in DTU and 362 in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

 

Delhiites waiting for rain

People of the city will have to wait for the weather to get relief from pollution in Delhi. The current weather conditions are increasing pollution. Experts say that in the current weather, the pollution elements are not being removed, hence if the weather changes then the pollution can end in a moment. We will have to wait for the weather to improve for the situation to improve. In the meantime, every possible effort will have to be made to deal with the emergency.

 

Odd Even Nimay in Delhi

People are in bad condition due to pollution in Delhi-NCR. Meanwhile, on Monday, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a high-level meeting at the Secretariat. Minister Gopal Rai was also present in this meeting. Giving information, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that odd-even will be implemented in Delhi. It will be implemented between 13th and 20th November. Odd-even traffic rules are a system whereby vehicles with registration numbers ending in an odd number are allowed to ply on odd days of the week. Vehicles with registration numbers ending in an even number are allowed to ply on the roads on other alternate days of the week. Earlier, Sunday has been kept open for all vehicular movement.
