Former Pakistan captain Moin Khan fiercely targeted current captain Babar Azam after the defeat by India in the World Cup match on Saturday. India continued its winning run in the tournament by defeating Pakistan at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Pakistan's score at one time was 155 runs for two wickets, but the team was reduced to 191 runs. Babar scored 50 (58) runs, while Mohammad Rizwan scored 49 runs in 69 balls. Analyzing the match, Moeen said that Babar looked scared and the same was reflected in the expressions of other players.
'Lack of intent in Babar's batting'
He said, 'If we look at the intent of Babar's batting, it was not his natural game as a captain. He played 58 balls. When he came to the crease, he was in a stable pitch and position when the first wicket fell at the score of 41. Babar should have maintained that flow a little and attacked a little. The intention that is there is reflected in the entire team. If your captain is afraid of playing his shots, the other players also react in the same way.
'Babar looked under pressure'
He said, 'Babar looked under pressure and clearly because of this he did not hit proper shots. If you are already scared that if I play shots then I might get out. I did not see the spirit of playing fearlessly in any batsman. Pakistan's experienced all-rounder Shoaib Malik also raised questions on Babar's leadership, saying that he does not have Plan B and C against top-ranked teams.

Malik said, 'Babar Azam is responsible for the entire batting and he is running the team. It is his responsibility to sit with the players. There should be plans B and C. When you play against big teams, they counterattack your Plan A and you have no answer. India's win over Pakistan took them to the top of the World 2023 Cup standings.

Talking about the match, Pakistan had to face defeat by seven wickets at the hands of India in Ahmedabad. Batting first after losing the toss, the Pakistani team was reduced to 191 runs in 42.5 overs. Captain Babar Azam played an inning of 50 runs and Mohammad Rizwan played an inning of 49 runs. In reply, India achieved the target by losing three wickets in 30.3 overs. Captain Rohit Sharma scored 86 runs. In this way, Team India defeated Pakistan for the eighth consecutive time in the ODI World Cup. Now India will face Bangladesh on October 19 in Pune. Whereas, the Pakistani team will face Australia at Chinnaswamy on 20th October.
