Arun Yogiraj, who belongs to the same generation, was also involved in carving since childhood. After completing his MBA degree, he also worked in a private company but left the job in 2008 to become a sculptor. He has been inclined towards sculpture since childhood.
Demand for sculptor Arun Yogiraj is increasing across the country.
Arun is being searched in different states of the country due to the demand that statues of those who have achieved achievements due to Arun's skills should be erected. Let us tell you that the statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose installed at India Gate has also been carved by Arun. Ahead of the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, PM Modi wished that a statue of him be installed at India Gate to honor his contribution to the freedom struggle, which was supported by Arun Yogiraj.
He also presented a two-foot-tall statue of Subhash Chandra Bose to the Prime Minister and won his appreciation. Arun has already been honored by many organizations. The royal family of Mysore has also given special respect to his contribution.
Yogiraj has also built the statue of Adi Shankaracharya installed in Kedarnath. Apart from this, he has created the 14.5 feet white marble statue of Maharaja Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar, the white marble statue of Maharaja Sri Krishnaraja Wodeyar-IV and Swami Ramakrishna Paramahamsa in Mysuru.
The Statue of Ramlala finalized for the Ram temple
According to the news agency ANI, three idols for the grand Ram temple have been created by three sculptors Ganesh Bhatt, Yogiraj, and Satyanarayan Pandey from three stones. In this, the statue of Satyanarayan Pandey is of white marble, while the remaining two statues are of blue stone from Karnataka. In this, the statue of Ganesh Bhatt was made in the style of South India. For this reason, the statue of Arun Yogiraj has been selected.
For the construction of the immovable idol of Ram Lalla, the Trust procured 12 high-quality stones from Karnataka, Rajasthan, and Orissa along with Nepal's Gandaki River. When all these stones were tested, only the rocks of Rajasthan and Karnataka were found suitable for making statues. Shyam Shila of Karnataka and the marble rock of Makrana of Rajasthan were chosen due to their special characteristics. Because Makrana stone is very hard and is best for carving.
Speaking to ANI, Yogiraj's mother Saraswati said, "This is the happiest moment for us. I wanted to see him carving and shaping Ram Lalla, but he said he would take me for darshan of the idol on the last day. Therefore, I am sitting with my eyes fixed on the idol on the day of its grand installation in the Ram temple."
