After Twitter's paid blue tick service, Meta also announced paid blue tick service. The company announced this last week and now it has started. Now users of Facebook and Instagram can verify their accounts by paying money. By the way, remind you that till now this service was free.
Facebook and Instagram first introduced paid subscriptions in Australia and New Zealand. Users in these countries will have to pay $11.99 (around Rs 990) for the web version and $14.99 (around Rs 1,240) per month for the iOS and Android mobile platforms.
For blue tick verification on Facebook and Instagram, users will have to provide a government ID card. Apart from this, paying users will get direct customer support and their posts will also get more reach.
A Meta spokesperson has said that the paid verification feature of Facebook and Instagram will be launched globally in the next seven days, although some users in Sydney have confirmed that they have not received the service. This service can see a huge increase in Meta's revenue.
Twitter has already announced
Earlier, the micro-blogging platform Twitter recently launched the paid subscription service Twitter blue. Mobile users in India will have to pay Rs 900 per month to get Blue Tick and use the features of the premium subscription service.
At the same time, the company also released the lowest-priced premium subscription plan for Rs 650. This plan is for web users. Let us tell you that the company released Twitter Blue in a new form only last year. It was earlier launched in some countries including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.
