Rahul Gandhi on Pegasus Issue: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has once again targeted the Modi government regarding the Pegasus issue. After the Supreme Court's decision, he held a press conference and said that the Supreme Court has approved our point. We raised the issue of Pegasus in the last Parliament session, we felt it was an attack on the very roots of democracy. We stalled Parliament. Rahul Gandhi said, "The Supreme Court has said that it is going to investigate the Pegasus espionage case, a big step, and I am sure that the truth will come out."

Rahul Gandhi said, "We had three questions - who permitted to buy Pegasus. Because only the government can buy it. Against whom was it used? From the judges, the names of BJP, opposition leaders, and social workers came. Was the data going to another country? No reply was given. This is an attack on our country. Trying to destroy democracy. What the Supreme Court has said is a big step. We hope the truth will be known.

Rahul Gandhi said that if Pegasus is used against terror then it is another matter but if the Prime Minister was using it personally then it is a crime. The government of Karnataka was toppled using Pegasus. He said that in this matter the government of the country is attacking the security of the country. There is no point in hiding under the guise of national security. This is national security.

In response to the question of ABP News, Rahul Gandhi said that if the committee calls then why will I not cooperate. But I think the government cannot answer. He said that this is not a political matter. It is a question of the survival of the country. This is an attack on the democratic structure. One or two people have done this conspiracy.

Supreme Court's decision

Let us tell you that today the Supreme Court has constituted a 3-member technical committee to investigate the Pegasus case. This committee will be supervised by former Supreme Court judge Justice RV Raveendran. In its decision, the court has expressed dissatisfaction with the attitude of the central government in this matter. The court has said that the government has neither completely denied the allegations nor filed a detailed reply. If there is illegal espionage then it is a violation of fundamental rights like privacy and expression. When the matter is related to the fundamental rights of the people, the court cannot sit as a mute spectator.
