After the rapidly increasing petro-diesel prices every day, the news of an increase in the prices of gas cylinders is also coming out. Let us tell you that on Wednesday, an increase of about 35 paise per liter was seen in the prices of vehicle fuel.

 

Why will the price of cylinders increase?

Sources said that in the case of LPG, the loss from selling below cost has reached Rs 100 per cylinder. Because of this, its prices may increase. Sources said that how much the price of LPG cylinder will increase, will depend on the permission of the government. Earlier on October 6, the price of the LPG cylinder was increased by Rs 15. Since July, the price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder has increased by Rs 90.

Loss of Rs 100 per cylinder

Sources with knowledge of the matter said that the public sector petroleum marketing companies have not been allowed to adjust the retail price to the cost. Apart from this, no subsidy has been given by the government so far to bridge this gap. He said that the loss on the sale of LPG has reached Rs 100 per cylinder amid the hike in international prices.

 

LPG price hiked by 60% in Saudi

Let us tell you where the rate of LPG in Saudi Arabia has increased by 60 percent this month to $ 800 per ton. At the same time, the international benchmark Brent crude oil has reached $ 85.42 per barrel. Another source said, “LPG is currently a regulated commodity. In such a situation, technically the government can regulate its retail price, but in doing so, the government will have to meet the loss of sales to the petroleum companies at a price below the cost.

 

 

The price of cylinder is Rs.899

Let us tell you that at present the price of LPG cylinders in Delhi and Mumbai is Rs 899.50. At the same time, in Kolkata, it is Rs 926. Eligible families in the country get subsidized LPG cylinders at the same rates. In a year, they get 12 cylinders of 14.2 kg each at subsidized rates.

 

How much have petrol and diesel prices going up?

Meanwhile, the prices of petrol and diesel were further increased by 35 paise per liter on Wednesday. Before this, vehicle fuel prices were not increased for two days. According to the price notification of public sector petroleum marketing companies, petrol in Delhi has now reached Rs 107.94 per liter. At the same time, in Mumbai, it has become Rs 113.80 per liter. Similarly, diesel has reached Rs 96.67 per liter in Delhi and Rs 104.75 per liter in Mumbai.

 

Petrol and diesel prices crossed Rs 100

Let us tell you that petrol has already scored a century in all the major cities of the country. At the same time, diesel has crossed Rs 100 per liter in more than one and a half dozen states and union territories. Petroleum marketing companies had resumed the process of increasing petrol prices from 28 September. Earlier, the fuel prices of this vehicle were not increased for three weeks. Since then, the price of petrol has increased by Rs 6.75 per liter 22 times. At the same time, from September 24, the price of diesel has been increased by Rs 8.05 per liter 24 times.
