Superintendent of Police Vivekanand Sharma, who is probing Antonov's death, said the authorities cremated the body on December 26 (Monday) with the permission of his family. Pavel's death comes two days after the mysterious death of his party colleague, 61-year-old Vladimir Budanov, who was found dead in the same hotel in Rayagada, Odisha. Four Russian tourists, including Vladimir and Antonov, had checked into the hotel on December 21 after visiting Daringbadi in the Kandhamal district.
