Weather Update: Mercury below zero in Kashmir, Delhi colder than Mussoorie, cold wave in Rajasthan

Fog has started spreading in different states of the country amidst increasing cold. The mercury has dropped below zero in many cities in Kashmir. The cold wave is expected to continue in some parts of Rajasthan. Due to the cold wind coming from the north and northwest direction, cold has shone in large parts of northwest, central and eastern India. Amid a change in the weather, the capital Delhi remained colder than other cold areas including Mussoorie, the queen of the mountains.

 

Mercury 2.4 degrees in Sikar's Fatehpur

The cold wave is going on in many parts of Rajasthan. The lowest temperature on Thursday was recorded at Fatehpur in Sikar at 2.4 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum effect of cold has been seen in 10 cities in Rajasthan. Fog and dew have also added to the woes of the people. Last night in Churu was the second coldest night in November in the last 10 years. Here, in some areas of northern Rajasthan Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, and Sikar, there was light fog on Thursday morning. According to weather experts, this drop in temperature may continue for a day or two.

 

 

A report released from Jaipur Meteorological Center If you look at today's report, the night's minimum temperature in Kota, Churu, and Ajmer districts went below normal by 6 degrees Celsius. The maximum effect of the melting winter was in Sikar and Churu of Shekhawati. The temperature here was recorded below five degrees Celsius. The night temperature in Churu was 4.1 degrees. Which is the lowest temperature for November after the year 2017. Experts have expressed the possibility, the way the temperature is falling continuously, it seems that this season it will become a new record of 10 years.

 

 

Meteorologists say that these days there is a period of snowfall in the mountains. In such a situation, after the end of the snowfall, the cold winds coming from the hill direction in Delhi-NCR will increase the chill. Experts say that there is a possibility of a rapid decrease in the minimum and maximum temperatures by the end of the week.

Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 8.4 degrees Celsius on Thursday. It has been recorded as three less than normal. At the same time, the minimum temperature of Mussoorie has been recorded at 10.5 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, in the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature of Nainital was recorded as 9.4 degree Celsius more than in Delhi. At the same time, Dehradun recorded a minimum temperature of 9.8 degrees.

It is cold in Kashmir, but there has been an improvement in day temperature in many districts including Jammu. It gets cold here at night. Last night's minimum temperature was minus 0.8 in Srinagar, minus 2.0 in Qazikund, minus 4.4 in Pahalgam, minus 2.4 in Kupwara, minus 1.0 in Kokernag. Gulmarg recorded minus 2.4 degrees Celsius.

 

Leh recorded minus 9.0 and Kargil minus 10.2 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature last night. Jammu recorded a maximum temperature of 25.7 and a minimum of 9.1 degrees Celsius amid clear weather. Katra recorded 9.6 and Bhaderwah recorded 3.0 degrees Celsius.

Light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells occurred over South Andhra Pradesh and North Tamil Nadu during the last 24 hours. Light to moderate rains occurred over Andaman and Nicobar Islands and South Interior Karnataka. Scattered light rain occurred over Goa, Interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep, and Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

 

During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain is possible over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, South Interior Karnataka, North Tamil Nadu, and parts of Andhra Pradesh. Light rain may occur at one or two places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep and Telangana, and Goa.
