New Delhi. Everyday the number of patients infected with Coronavirus is increasing. Meanwhile, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has said that about 30 per cent of the people in the containment zone, ie the area where there are already corona cases, have been infected and cured themselves. This has been revealed by the sero-survey. These include patients who have not shown symptoms of corona virus.

24 thousand samples taken

According to the English newspaper New Indian Express, ICMR, National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), the state government and WHO jointly conducted a CERO survey. Under this, 24 thousand samples were taken from 70 districts of the country. Many important information has been received from this survey. Let's take a look at the highlights of this survey.

SERO survey big things

On behalf of ICMR, it has been said that 15-30 percent of the people in the containment zone were infected with corona. Infected people got cured on their own.

Nothing has been said about herd immunity. But it has definitely been said that immunity among people is increasing in these areas. This means that in the coming countries, people living in these areas may develop herd immunity.

It has also been found in the survey that many people in the country do not show signs of corona even after being infected with the virus. In such a situation, the number of infected patients in India may be much higher than the government figures.

What is SERO survey?

In SERO survey, blood serum tests of several people are done simultaneously in a particular area. It is usually at the district level. It helps to know at what level the infection is spreading. This suggests antibodies. With this survey, the government will not only be able to monitor the trend of corona infection but it will also prevent community transmission.
