According to the English newspaper New Indian Express, ICMR, National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), the state government and WHO jointly conducted a CERO survey. It has also been found in the survey that many people in the country do not show signs of corona even after being infected with the virus. In such a situation, the number of infected patients in India may be much higher than the government figures.

In SERO survey, blood serum tests of several people are done simultaneously in a particular area. It is usually at the district level. It helps to know at what level the infection is spreading. This suggests antibodies. With this survey, the government will not only be able to monitor the trend of corona infection but it will also prevent community transmission.
