Let's understand in 5 points the big things happening between India and China...

, The Prime Minister will hold talks with the leaders of Brazil, China, Russia, and South Africa on the sidelines of the 15th BRICS Summit in Johannesburg. This will be the first BRICS summit after 2019 (Corona pandemic), in which all the leaders will meet in person. ,

, Asked about the possibility of a bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping, Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra on Monday said the PM's schedule is still being worked out. Kwatra said, “India has a positive intention and an open mind when it comes to BRICS expansion.

, If a bilateral meeting takes place between PM Modi and Xi Jinping, it would be their first since the India-China border standoff began in May 2020. The two leaders had a brief meeting in November last year at the G20 dinner hosted by Indonesian President Joko Widodo in Bali.

, Indian and Chinese soldiers have been in a state of confrontation for more than three years over the border in eastern Ladakh. While both countries have ensured the withdrawal of troops at many places after extensive diplomatic and military talks.

, Last month, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met top Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the sidelines of the BRICS countries meeting in Johannesburg. Doval stressed the importance of sustained efforts to completely resolve the situation and restore peace in the border areas.

, According to information, Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend the 15th BRICS summit virtually, while the Russian delegation will be led by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. After finishing the BRICS meeting, PM Modi will visit Greece on 25 August.

, Regarding the upcoming visit to Greece, PM Modi wrote on his X (Twitter) handle, "On 25th August, I will visit Greece, a country with which India has had civilizational contacts for centuries. I will talk to Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis." Looking forward to it. I will also interact with the Indian community there."

, In June 2020, India-China relations deteriorated after a fierce clash in the Galvan Valley. It was the most serious military conflict between the two countries in several decades.

, After several military and diplomatic talks, the two sides completed the process of withdrawal of troops in the northern and southern banks of Pangong Lake and the Gogra region in 2021.

, India says that until there is peace in the border areas, its relations with China cannot be normal.
