24 people died in Uttarakhand, 100 people were trapped due to water entering Kosi river in Ramnagar resort

It has been raining in Uttarakhand for the last 48 hours. Ten people are reported to have died due to the demolition of a house in a village in Ramgarh block of Nainital district. In Chaukhuta village of Dhari tehsil, six people of the same family were crushed to death in the house which came under the JD of the landslide. At the same time, water has entered a resort in Ramnagar. It is being told that about a hundred people are trapped inside the resort. A child is buried under the rubble after the house collapsed in Bhimtal. In the Almora district, three people have died due to debris coming from a hill on a house. In Almora Nagar too, the girl was crushed to death after the wall of the house collapsed. A youth died after being hit by a stone that fell from a hill in Bageshwar district. Two workers have died after being buried under debris in the Khinapani area on the Almora-Haldwani highway. At present, there are reports of 24 deaths. At the same time, the contact of Nainital has been cut off from the country and the world. The water of Nainital lake is overflowing. At Kathgodam railway station, about 100 meters of santing neck got washed away in the Gaula river. Trains have been canceled due to waterlogging. Dozens of mountain roads have been closed due to debris.

Nine died due to debris in Ramgarh

Nine people died in a house collapse in Jhutia village of Ramgarh block of Nainital district. At the same time, the condition of one is said to be serious. In the revenue village of Sakuna, debris came from the hill in the house in the early hours. 10 workers were sleeping in the room. One of which got up and jumped out. Hundred people trapped in Ramnagar resort

Water from the Kosi river has entered the Lemon Tree Resort in Mohan, Ramnagar. About a hundred people are trapped in the resort. Including tourists and staff. On the other hand, Chukum head Jassi Ram told that three houses have been washed away due to continuous land erosion in the village, people are taking shelter towards the forest. There is an atmosphere of panic among the villagers.

Four died in Almora and one in Bageshwar

In Almora district, a house was demolished due to debris coming from the hill in Rapad village of Bhikiyasain tehsil of rain. Three people died in the accident. Some people have saved their lives by running away. SDRF team is doing rescue on the spot. In Almora itself, at a place called Heera Dungri, teenager Aruma Singh's daughter Trilok Singh got buried under the debris after the wall of a house collapsed. His body has been recovered. A youth of Bhanar village of Kapkot, Bageshwar, came under the grip of stones falling from the mountain, due to which he has died a painful death.

Tanakpur Tawaghat Highway is closed at a dozen places between Ghat to Tawaghat. The road is closed at three places between Ghat to Pithoragarh. A large number of vehicles and passengers are stranded since Monday morning. The district has cut off contact with other districts and district headquarters with other tehsils. All the river drains are in spate. Two houses have been damaged in Malupati of Munsiyari and Quitad village of Pithoragarh. There is no report of human or animal loss in the district so far. The under-construction bridge on the Ladhia river at Chalthi on the Tanakpur-Pithoragarh national highway was washed away.

Gaula bridge road collapsed in Haldwani

The road to the new Gaula bridge at Indiranagar bypass in Haldwani disappeared due to heavy rains. Apart from thousands of people of Gaulapar and Chorgalia, even the vehicles of Khatima and Uttar Pradesh used to pass through it. Due to the disappearance of a large part of the bridge, at present, the police administration has closed the road with barricades. The City Magistrate and Tehsildar also reached the spot and took stock of the situation.

Three houses washed away in the Garampani Khairna area

In the Garampani Khairna area, three houses have been washed away in the flow of the Shipra river. So far there has been no loss of life or property. Water has flooded many houses, more than 200 people have been shifted to GIC Khairna, CHC, and Tehsil. The speed of the river Shipra is increasing. The administration has given a call to vacate the market by getting Munadi. People are in a panic.

Sharda river water level rises in Champawat

It has been raining in Champawat for the last 36 hours. The rains have caused landslides in many places, threatening the houses. Sharda, Lohavati, Gandak, Ladhia, and other river drains are in spate. Many rural roads including NH were closed due to debris. As of now, there is no report of damage. Disaster Control Form is engaged in gathering information about it. On Monday, in Selkhola, the mother and son died due to being buried in the rubble.
