New Delhi, March 4 (IANS) A special court on Wednesday supplied a draft copy of the questionnaire of 400 questions to former telecom minister A. Raja, DMK MP Kanimozhi and others in a money laundering case related to 2G spectrum allocation.
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Special Judge O.P. Saini supplied the draft questionnaire -- that runs into about 225 pages -- to the accused which they have to answer as part of their statement in the case.
"The process of drafting of questionnaire is completed by today itself," the court said.
"Since the record of the case is technical and voluminous, I deem it proper that if a draft copy of the questionnaire is supplied to the counsel for each accused in advance, it would facilitate the recording of statement of the accused persons as they would be able to understand the questions and reply to the same with ease and felicity."
"Accordingly, a soft copy of the draft questionnaire, containing the questions to be put to each accused, has been supplied to the counsel for each accused and the prosecution also," the court said.
The court fixed the matter for March 16 for recording the statements of 19 accused including Raja.
The court on February 26 concluded recording of statements of prosecution witnesses.
It had on Oct 31, 2014 framed charges of money laundering against Raja, Kanimozhi and others.
