A huge landslide in Himachal's Kinnaur, many vehicles including bus buried under debris, one dead body recovered, 25-30 passengers missing

A major accident has happened in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. Between Nigosari and Chaura, suddenly a large part of the mountain broke down, in the grip of which many vehicles including a bus of Himachal Roadways came. So far one body has been recovered. Still, 25-30 passengers are missing. Six have been saved.

 

 

The accident happened around 12.45 pm. Still, stones are falling continuously at the site of the accident, which is making it very difficult to start the relief work. This

 

 

Chief Minister took information about the incident, gave instructions for the campaign

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur is keeping an eye on the Kinnaur accident, he has instructed the officials to speed up the relief work. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said, "I have directed the police and the local administration to carry out the rescue operation. NDRF has also been put on alert. We have received information that a bus and a car could have collided. We are waiting for detailed information on this."

 

 

Home Minister spoke to Chief Minister and DG of ITBP

Home Minister Amit Shah has spoken to the Chief Minister of Himachal over the phone regarding the accident in Kinnaur. The Home Minister inquired about the incident from the Chief Minister. Along with this, he also talked to DG ITBP. The Home Minister directed to provide facilities in the affected area at the earliest. Along with this, instructions were also issued to evacuate people from the spot.

 

 

NDRF and health department on alert

According to the information, the priority of the government is to know how many people were on the bus. For this, a list of passengers who boarded the bus has been called from the place from where the bus had departed. NDRF and the health department have been put on alert.

 

 

Debris falling continuously, problem in relief and rescue work

Deputy commissioner Abid Hussain Sadiq said that the army, National Disaster Response Force, and local rescue teams have been called for rescue work. Sadiq said the stones were still falling, making the rescue operation difficult. He said that the detailed information is still awaited. Another local official said that debris is still falling intermittently from the mountain. Therefore, there is a problem in starting the relief work. The administration is closely monitoring the accident.
