Amidst the growing influence of the Taliban in Afghanistan, India seems to be withdrawing itself from there. According to the English newspaper 'The Hindu' on Tuesday, an official said that India will shift its personnel from the consulate of Mazar-e-Sharif.

The Government of India had earlier decided to send an emergency flight to evacuate its citizens from here. The Indian Embassy in Kabul has urged all Indians in Afghanistan to make arrangements to leave immediately before commercial flights are halted amid escalating conflict. Taliban fighters have reached the outskirts of Mazar-e-Sharif.

Earlier, they had captured the city of Kunduz bordering Tajikistan. The official Twitter handle of the Consulate General of India in Mazar-e-Sharif tweeted, "A special flight is arriving from Mazar-e-Sharif to New Delhi. All Indians living in and around Mazar-e-Sharif are requested to make preparations to leave Delhi by the flight that takes off this evening. Any Indian nationals who want to board the special flight, WhatsApp their full name, passport number, and expiry date on these numbers 0785891303, 0785891301.

The Hindu has written in its report that Indian officers and civilians will be evacuated from Mazar-e-Sharif by a military aircraft.

A month ago, India had evacuated its personnel from the consulate in Kandahar. The consulate of Mazar-e-Sharif has also been temporarily closed.

Kandahar's consulate has also been temporarily closed. An Indian official from Mazar-e-Sharif told The Hindu, "We are evacuating all Indians from Mazar-e-Sharif. The consulate here will be under the control of the local staff.

The Indian Embassy in Kabul has said that Indians living in Afghanistan should take urgent steps for their safety. It has been said in a public notice that amid increasing violence, arrangements should be made for immediate return before the air service is stopped in India and Afghanistan.

Indian companies operating in Afghanistan have been asked to immediately ask Indian workers to leave the project site. Indian journalists have also been asked to abide by safety rules amid increasing violence. Things have changed rapidly after the city of Kunduz came under Taliban control.

Earlier in April 2020, the Indian government suspended the work of its consulates in Jalalabad and Herat and recalled the staff.

On the withdrawal of its personnel from the consulate in Kandahar a month ago, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs had said, "India is watching the growing security concerns in Afghanistan. The safety of our personnel is of paramount importance. The Indian Consulate in Kandahar is not closed. However, Indian personnel has been brought back due to the escalating violence near Kandahar city. This is a temporary step."

"The consulate will continue to function through local staff. Afghanistan is our valued partner and India is committed to its sovereignty, peace, and democracy.

There was also a lot of reaction from Pakistan on the return of Indian Consulate personnel from Kandahar. Pakistan's Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid had said that India has to face embarrassment in Afghanistan.

He had said that India has no other option but to call back its employees from Afghanistan.

Not only is India worried about the security in Afghanistan, but in early July, Russia also announced the closure of its consulate in Mazar-e-Sharif, northern Afghanistan. Earlier last month, China also recalled 210 of its citizens from Afghanistan.

US President Biden has said that all US troops will be back by August 31. In July itself, former President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai said in an interview to 'The Hindu' that America has completely failed in its Afghanistan mission.

Brahmins and Dalits should unite: BSP

Bahujan Samaj Party General Secretary Satish Chandra Mishra, while addressing a Brahmin-Dalit meeting in Ghaziabad and Meerut on Tuesday, said that the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Samajwadi Party are two sides of the same coin. Including many newspapers have given prominent place today.

Satish Chandra Mishra, who came to power in 2007 based on the votes of Brahmins and Dalits and considered the master of this strategy, said that both Dalits and Brahmins are on target in the BJP rule.

Satish Chandra Mishra said that there are many examples of this and Vikas Dubey's minor niece Khushi Dubey is one of them. Mishra said that the rule of the Samajwadi Party was no different. Brahmin leaders were humiliated during the reign of Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Mishra said, "In Uttar Pradesh, Brahmins are 16 percent and Dalits are 23 percent. If both of them come together, then BSP will easily get 30 percent votes. We will also get help from OBCs and minorities." Mishra also reminded Mayawati's slogan to unite Brahmins-Dalits, which said - Hathi Nahi Ganesh hai, Brahma-Vishnu-Mahesh hai.
