Bihar's young leader and former minister, Nitin Navin, has filed his nomination for the post of BJP National President. Prominent BJP leaders Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, and JP Nadda were present during the filing.

The nomination process for the BJP National President is underway at the party headquarters.

Within the next 24 hours, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and other Chhattisgarh BJP leaders submitted their letters of support.

JP Nadda, Hardeep Puri, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, state unit presidents, MPs, and other office bearers were present during Nitin Navin's nomination process.

Possibility of Unanimous Election

It is being reported that the formal announcement of the new BJP National President is likely to be made tomorrow, January 20th. According to party sources, Nitin Navin will be the only candidate for the post of National President. Therefore, his unopposed election is considered almost certain.

How is the BJP President elected?

The National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party is elected by an electoral college comprising representatives from the party's National Council and State Councils. This entire process is overseen by the party's National Returning Officer. Any 20 members of a state's electoral college can jointly propose the name of a person for the post of National President who has been an active member of the party for four terms and has completed 15 years of membership. However, such a joint proposal must come from at least five states where elections to the National Council have already been held.
