It is being told that Ankit had gone to a paan shop to eat paan. During this, Nupur Sharma's video was watched on mobile. 3 people including Mohammad Bilal came to the paan shop and got angry after seeing Nupur Sharma's video on mobile.
The youths first blew cigarette smoke on Ankit's face. After that, they started abusing. On protesting, the three attacked Ankit's right side with a knife near the waist. Ankit Jha is a resident of Bahera village of Nagpur.
Police accused of suppressing the case
The matter is being told of July 16. The police took the complaint of the victim's family after they removed the mention of Nupur from the complaint. Police have arrested 2 people. The main accused are still out of police custody. SP Har Kishore Rai says that the victim and the accused were intoxicated. After this, there was a dispute between the two. The SP has denied any controversy related to Nupur Sharma.

Questions are being raised on the role of the police in the whole case. It is alleged that in the complaint lodged by the family members earlier, the Nupur Sharma case was mentioned. Police asked to change it, FIR was registered only after the mention of Nupur Sharma was removed from the complaint. In this case, the police arrested Gaura alias Mohd of Nagpur village. Nihal, Mohd. Five others including Bilal have been made accused. After the FIR, the victim's family is getting threats continuously.
