
Russia's AK-203 rifle, which runs at lightning speed, will start making in India by December. This information was given by Aleksandr Mikheev, Director General of Russia's state defense unit Rosoboronexport. It will be made at the Ordnance Factory located at Korwa in the Amethi district of Uttar Pradesh.
Our plans include 100 percent localization of production of the famous Russian assault rifles in India, Mikheev said. He also expressed hope that this joint venture of India and Russia can produce more in the future. Apart from this, the company is also participating in the DefExpo event to be held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat from October 18-22.
Discussion on providing the army and other agencies
According to a statement from Rosoboronexport, at the DefExpo event, the company will present a wide range of additional advanced equipment designed to customize assault rifles and arm the Army personnel. The company will also discuss the production and supply of AK-203 for the armed forces and other law enforcement agencies of the country.
