Aparna Yadav, the daughter-in-law of Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav, joined the BJP on Wednesday amid the ongoing tussle between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Samajwadi Party (SP) over the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. His joining BJP is no less than a big setback for SP. After joining BJP, Aparna Yadav praised and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath. Aparna also said that nationalism is above all for her.

Aparna Yadav, the daughter-in-law of senior Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav, joined the party in the presence of Uttar Pradesh BJP President Swatantra Dev Singh and Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya at the BJP headquarters in Delhi. After this, the journalists asked whether SP President Akhilesh Yadav did not live up to the expectations, so decided to go to BJP? On this, Aparna Yadav said that it is not such a thing. I just want to say that I have always considered the nation as a religion. Always have decided for the nation. This is my new innings. I am very impressed with PM Modi, CM Yogi. His policies are morally pleasing to me. That's why I have joined BJP.

After joining BJP, when journalists asked Aparna Yadav whether Akhilesh Yadav, SP does not follow the national religion? On this, Aparna said that she does not want to say anything by turning away from the family. He said that it is my personal view that the way CM Yogi Adityanath has worked in Uttar Pradesh in the last five years is commendable. His plans are brilliant.

On the question of contesting from Lucknow's Cantt seat, Aparna said that she has not joined BJP on any condition. In a democracy, everyone can freely join their ideology. To save the country, we have to walk with nationalism, BJP has been marching for nationalism. I will fight from where the party ensures. I must hoist the flag of BJP. He said that BJP is going to form the government again in Uttar Pradesh.

Earlier in the press conference, Aparna Yadav said that the nation is most important to me. I have gone out to worship the nation. I have always been influenced by Prime Minister Modi. Apart from this, the public welfare policies of the BJP influenced me a lot. A big change was seen from the Swachh Bharat Mission and the self-supporting schemes of women. She said that everyone knows that I have always been influenced by PM Modi and the nation is first in my thinking. The religion of the nation is most important to me. I have now come out to worship the nation, in which I need everyone's cooperation. Aparna also mentioned the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, schemes run for women, employment.
